New blues club in Narvik

Narvik is finally on Norwegian Blues Union's map. The blues society in Northern Norway was founded June 15 and has already more than 400 Facebook friends and has cut good deals with several local partners. The club is already a member of the Norwegian Rock Association and the Norwegian Blues Union.

Saturday September 25 is the club's first event. The club's good local support is proven by five bands playing for free to help the club get some capital. The artists and bands are Thorbjørn Dåbach, Bjerkvik Blues Band, Genghis Kahn and The Rockets, Kjartan & The Hound Dogs and music students from Solhaug.
Bjerkvik Sound will supply PA and sound man for free.

Newly elected club chairman Freddy Iversen tells Blue News they hope to become a concert venue for both local, national and international artists in the blues and related genres.  The club has made a deal with Grand Hotel, where Rallar'n Pub & Cafe will be the main arena.
We wish the club good luck and hope it will be many great concerts in Narvik!
